Spiritual Nourishment
Dream school for all and sundry
Character Formation & Spiritual Nourishment
We value and recognize the importance of the pupil feeling comfortable within the school environment and that a child cannot achieve their life’s fullest potential if he/she is not putting God first. We have a well–structured pastoral program that is responsible for the spiritual well-being of learners, staff, and other stakeholders. The pastoral office oversees the spiritual programs of the learners and staff. It is the program (department) that holds together the fabric that unites and ties the St.James cathedral fraternity. It oversees guidance and counseling programs, nurtures talents, develops leadership potential in pupils and admonishes undesirable characters.
As a Christian institution, our core mandate is to guide and develop people who would portray and exude values, virtues, and attributes that are consistent with the faith that we profess. We have put in place programs to help and counsel each child in the way of God, as the Bible says, ‘train up a child the way he should go and when he is of age he will not depart from it.’ We have set aside Fridays for spiritual nourishment and prayer to keep your child conscious of God and learn to serve Him in their life at school, and even later after they leave.
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. Knowledge of God is pegged on the in-depth knowledge of the Bible. This club offers the learners an opportunity to explore the Bible in and out of the class environment.
